Hey guys, so I'm a horrible friend/person for not updating this more but I'm so busy with school. I promise to update this tomorrow :-)
Update: I also will post pictures from the Barack Obama event in Austin from last week :-)

Just go read that really quick
Resident Susan Canavespe said the pig racing wasn't mean-spirited -- "It's just Texas-spirited."
Wait, WHAT? Lady, don't say stuff to the Associated Press that's going to make us seem like a bunch of idiots that have nothing better to do during the afternoon but watch pigs run around. Seriously. Texas-spirited? What the hell? My mom told me yesterday that I'm too young to be so angry. But right now I'm thinking, I'm not too young to notice when people are idiots. And this man thought that the Katy Islamic Association was pushing him off his land. WTF? No, they just bought land next to yours. Get your crap off of THEIR property and keep it on yours.
And don't get pissy with me people on the internet. I live on a ranch in Southwest Bexar County/Medina County area. It really isn't that hard to keep your crap in.
Now I'm going to go do what I do in my spare time, read. It's "Texas-spirited."
So, I know that elections ended almost two months ago, less than a month for people in TX-23 like me... But political activists and watchers, like me, are getting ready for 2008. Most people don't know where they will be next week, but I know where I'll be November 2008.

Former Senator John Edwards has thrown his name in the hat for 2008. Right now he's the leading candidate in those that have stated their desire to run for President. I know in the long run I will support any Democrat that decides to run. That's just me. In 2004 I was completely behind Howard Dean. The little socialist in me loved all of his views. But the politician in me understands what this country needs and we need someone that's moderate, like a John Edwards or Barack Obama. Either of these two fine gentlemen I'd be supportive of. Now if Clinton also decided to run, I'd have some issues. I love her to pieces, but do I think she'll get the nod? I'm not sure. I know Edwards will not have a problem. He has charisma and good "southern boy charm," whereas Clinton is a "Yankee" and she's seen as "too liberal" for the country. I just would really like to see a Democrat sitting back in the White House. By that time, hopefully I will be working as an Aide for a Democratic Senator like Bob Casey from Pennsylvania. That would be nice. Or possibly working for a US Congressperson, like Ciro Rodriguez, Charlie Gonzalez, or Henry Cuellar even.
That's all I have to say for now. Saddam's petition for an appeal failed. I know he was a bad man and I don't condone what he did. But I still do not believe in the death penalty and I will never believe in it. If Catholics were really pro-life, they'd vote Democratic more than new-age Democrats are voting Republican. It's really upsetting me that people say that the Democratic Party is the Party for Christians. That's some BS. I may not be religious and identify myself with any religion, but I still believe in G-d and believe in his greatness. And I don't believe in taking a life that has already been here on Earth and shown some utility, I'm pretty utilitarian, and Saddam may be a mad man, but he's brilliant to make a whole country under his spell. Kind of like Castro. Or a little like stupid Bush making this whole state believe that he's a Texan. Yeah... anyone else we would've forever called them a Yankee.
That's all I have. I have to continue cleaning the house. It's a mess. Belle tears everything up.
She's still freakin cute though. That's her after running through puddles and the river. She needed a bath so badly.
I hate them. I hate vacations as well. I got a wretched flu while on vacation last week... like in bed for 3 days straight. It was pretty gross. But, I did go shopping yesterday, got awesome deals. I still have a bit of a cough. While sick, I did manage to finish
I was proud of myself. I cried, again. This book was issued to me at the beginning of the Fall Semester to read for Political Ideas, we never got around to reading it though. I decided to read it start to finish in one week since it is a good read. Yeah, I'm a nerd and finished it in about 2.5 days.
Gerald Ford died last night. I'm still nto really sure how I feel. I'm sad, but that's about it. I know it sounds mean, and it's not meant to, but it's just sad when a President dies. But I wasn't around during his era.
Other than that, I'm just excited about starting my internship, finishing up with school, and just getting loose ends tied up before I start applying for graduate school. My first New Year's Resolution is to quit drinking. All together. And lose weight.
Bye for now!
Just wanted to say I hope all of y'all have a good one. I'm going to be gambling it up in Louisiana until Monday.
I guess I'll begin by frightening people... yes, I am a Democrat in Texas. And my family... they're all Democrats too. So that makes for the 80 Democratic voters in Texas. I just got an internship with a State Representative. Hopefully I can be added on his staff. That's about all I've got to say for now. I talk a lot, so I'll be able to type more later.
Oh yeah, and currently... I'm obsessed with this book:
